A conference inspired by the proposed EirGrid pylon project for Ireland, will take place in Kilkenny on February 14.
Featuring a number of distinguished speakers from the European public and private sector, inclduing the European Commission, the conference will look at the situation across the European Union in relation to the upgrading of grid networks to examine best practice models and realistic alternatives.
The event is being organised by MEP for Ireland South, Phil Prendergast.
It takes place in the Newpark Hotel from 7pm - 9pm on Friday, Februaury 14.
