The 2013 Remembrance Tree campaign in aid of South Tipperary Hospice gets underway on Friday, December 13, and the Rotary Club of Clonmel are looking for volunteers to help staff it from then to Monday, December 23.

This year there will be two trees, one in Market Place and one on O’Connell Street, and members of the public will be able to write the names of their loved ones who have passed away, or who are ill, on remembrance ribbons which are attached to the trees, and kept to be blessed at a special ecumenical service. The more days the tree is manned, the more money will be raised.
