Following their popularity the concept has spread worldwide and in Ireland they are now to be found in many counties.
The main purpose of a Men’s Sheds is to enhance the well-being of the particpants by providing a friendly and welcoming place where men can gather.
The members may also involve themselves in a variety of mutually agreed activities which they will determine themselves.
The Shed may also be a place where they can share skills, learn new skills and enhance knowledge. All men are welcome in a Men’s Shed regardless of age, race, religion, background or ability.
Members have ownership of their Shed, and have a say in the programmes and events which are followed. Men’s Shed public meeting, Thursday April 25 at 7.30 pm in Bridgewater House (which is beside the Gas House Bridge). Entrance can also be accessed through the car park. All are welcome!
