Auditions will be held tomorrow Thursday July 18 in the conference room, in the Town Hall (Parnell Street, Clonmel) for a new young people’s show for RTE television. Auditions will take place from from 5pm – 7pm, but hurry as applications must be in by today, Wednesday, July 17!
Adare Productions are producing a new young people’s programme for RTE 2 called ‘Shake Down The Town’ and they are looking at Clonmel as one of the chosen towns nationwide to feature on the show.
At the moment they are looking for families, adults and children between the ages of 9-13 years to take part. Entries should consist of five members - two adults and three children (the three children can also include cousins, or friends and the adults can include uncles, aunts, or a friend).
Each week the ‘Shake Down The Town’ command base will roll into town and two teams (each consisting of five family members) will compete against each other to crack the clues and be the first to unlock the safe.
Each team will have three code breakers, aged 9-13 years old, in the command base. Meanwhile two adults will be chasing around their local town trying to gather the numbers for the safe’s combination lock.
Clues will lead each team to four locations within the town. At each location the teams must complete a challenge to retrieve a number for the safe’s combination lock.
So if you want to Shake Down The Town, then put together your treasure hunt team now! If you would like to apply, a parent or guardian should email: firstname.lastname@example.org
In the email include your name, their contact number and address, along with the names and ages of the other members of the treasure hunt team.
Alternatively, call 01-284 3877. Filming will take place on the 9th of August, 2013.
