The Pearly Whites, The Waheys and Supersoul Machine will play the Clonmel Park Hotel this month - for one night only! On Friday April 12, some of South Tipperary’s brightest stars will take to the stage for a charity gig in aid of depression awareness charity, AWARE.
More than 450,000 people in Ireland experience depression (one in ten) at any one time but many hide their condition and never get help. The signs aren’t always clear to the outside world until it is too late.
AWARE works to create a society where people who experience depression and related mood disorders, and their families, are understood and supported, are free from stigma and have access to a broad range of support options.
AWARE’s objectives include: educating the public on the nature, extent and consequences of depression and related mood disorders such as anxiety and bipolar; providing emotional and practical support to individuals and families affected by depression and related disorders; and to support research into the development and treatment of depression and related issues.
This charity gig not only aims to highlight the issue of depression in society but also to bring together the people and families who have been affected by the condition in the Tipperary region.
All three bands have given up their time free of charge for this event which promises an amazing evening of live music, fun and good old rock ‘n’ roll atmosphere with all proceeds of the event going directly to AWARE.
The evening commences with a cocktail reception on arrival to get you into the mood for a great night of music and mayhem ahead with the bands taking to the stage at 9.15pm.
Tickets are selling fast priced at €20 and are available from reception at the Clonmel Park Hotel.
