Tipperary’s Greg Broderick captured the 2013 TRM/Horseware National Grand Prix league in style at the weekend, by winning the penultimate leg of the series at Coilog Equestrian Centre in Co Kildare.

Having won the prestigious title in for the first time in 2012, Greg Broderick retained the trophy after a brilliant performance aboard Noel Cawley’s mare Rincarina and despite one round of the league still remaining at Barnadown in Co Wexford, the Thurles native is now in an unbeatable position with a total of 98 points collected.

Speaking after his win Mr Broderick said, he was delighted to win for the second consecutive year.

“I would like to thank in particular the owners of all the horses that contributed to this success, and also to the hard working team at Ballypatrick Stables”.

Just a day later on Sunday, Broderick took runner up postion in the final round of the Premier Series at the same venue. Once again he was riding Rincarina and was only denied victory by a last gasp round from Waterford’s Paddy O’Donnell.
