Fethard RFC look forward to new season

As the new season of rugby dawns, Fethard RFC are looking forward to seeing all players back at training and welcome any new players interested in togging out for the team.

As the new season of rugby dawns, Fethard RFC are looking forward to seeing all players back at training and welcome any new players interested in togging out for the team.

Fethard RFC players come from all surrounding parishes including Killenaule, Ballingarry, Gortnahoe, Mullinahone, Moyglass, Ballinure, Clerihan, Rosegreen, Drangan and Clooneen to name but a few. Fethard RFC minis section caters for young players from the age of six to twelve years with training at 6.45pm every Friday, with matches most Sunday mornings.

Here there is a primary focus on fun, safety, learning the skills and improving the all important agility, balance and co-ordination of each child. Fethard also has teams in the East Munster under-14, -15, -16 and -18 leagues and cups, as well as a senior team that plays in the Gleeson League and many other competitions. Minis start training on Friday Sept 6 and for all other teams, please contact director of rugby. First senior match of the season takes place next Saturday August 31 against Portumna RFC at 5pm. All are welcome.
