A special workshop which will teach people the art of lantern-making, will take place at the South Tipperary Arts Centre on Saturday October 26.

These lanterns will be made from willow and paper, causing no pollution to the environment, but will provide a wonderful accompaniment to the annual zombie parade which takes place on Halloween night, October 31.

Local artists Lyn Mather and Brigid Teehan have partnered up to present this public workshop which is free to participants and funded by the Clonmel Borough Council as part of the Halloween activities this year.

The workshop is suitable for adults and young people aged eight years and upwards. Make it a family affair and create one large lantern, or alternatively, make smaller, individual ones. Participants are encouraged to bring the lanterns to the Zombie Walk.

The workshop takes place in the Arts Centre on Saturday OCtober 26 from 2pm to 3.30pm.
