This community-based, non-commercial organisation is open to all men where the primary objective is to advance their health and well-being. In Clonmel the weekly meetings are well attended and some projects have already been initiated providing a great source of social interaction for those involved. The VEC has provided tutors to give informal training sessions on subjects such as the use of SKYPE, and local history. Some local people have also given their time to advise members on gardening techniques and making hanging baskets. planned for the future.

The Men’s Shed is a place where all men are welcome, it is the personal choice of anyone attending if they wish to get involved in a project, suggest a project, come to play a game, read a book, or just come to have a coffee a chat and a bit of banter. Men’s Shed is based in Bridgewater House, open Monday & Thursday 7pm – 9.30pm and Wednesday 9.30am – 12.30pm. Contact 086 8239394 or 0862654577.
