Students’ visual 
impairment 
awareness campaign

Cashel Community School has been awarded €300 and additional mentoring at the Young Social Innovators Den, supported by the Vodafone Ireland Foundation recently. The students will use the funding to help progress their 
project “Do You Want Braille with That?” which aims to drive local and national awareness of menu accessibility for people with visual 
impairments.

The group of students have supplied all restaurants with official stickers indicating that the restaurant offers accessible menus and set up a monitoring team who will ensure that the accessible menu concept is fully integrated.
