Some 80,000 people across South Tipperary will experience the benefits of Vodafone Ireland’s recent significant upgrade across the south of Ireland, which will see improvements to voice services and in some areas, introduce mobile data for the first time.

Following the enhancement to voice coverage earlier this summer, the network has now made mobile data services available to areas where previously only mobile calls could be made.

Kieran Mulhall, director of operations at Clonmel Healthcare, which relies heavily on mobile data services for operating their business said mobile data services are critical for the daily running of their business. “We have a large sales team who need to stay connected while away from the office. It is hugely important that our sales and medical teams are constantly in a position to get the most up to date information on medical products, order tracking etc when dealing with our customers. Now with enhanced data coverage across the region, we will start to see innovative and indigenous local businesses expanding and growing in these sectors,” he said.
