Rosegreen defeated Galtee Rovers by 2-11 to 1-6 in the Rea Clarke Hennessy West Junior Football A Championship at Bansha on Friday evening.

Rosegreen controlled the first half, having got off to a great start with a goal by Denis Golden in the opening minute. They led by 2-6 to no score with a few minutes remaining in the first half. Galtee got in with a goal from Brendan Healy before the interval to leave the score 2-6 to 1-0 at half-time.

The second half was a much closer affair, with Galtee performing much better but they were unable to overcome the half-time deficit.
