Carrick Swan junior hurlers will play their county league final against Clonoulty/Rossmore in Fethard on Saturday at 6.30pm.
The Club wishes them the best of luck.
The Club’s minors have a busy programme this week lining out against Mullinahone on Wednesday in Kilsheelan at 7pm and playing St Mary’s at the same venue on Sunday at 12pm.
Swan U-16 hurlers had a comfortable win over Ballingarry in the championship last week. Their scheduled game against St Pat’s didn’t take place and the team have now qualified for thesemi-final.
The U-14 hurlers beat Ballyneale/Grangemockler by one point in the South (B) semi-final last Saturday in Kilsheelan. Final score was 2-05 to 2-04.
The Club wishes this team and their mentors the best of luck in the final. The under 12 hurlers enjoyed a comfortable win over Cahir in the Division Four semi-final at the same venue.
And the U-8 panel travelled to Dublin over the weekend to play friendly games against O’Dwyers (Balbriggan) and they also visited Croke Park.
All the players had an enjoyable time and thanks to the host club for their hospitality and also those who travelled with this group of players.
The U-6 and U-8 hurlers played Piltown in some friendly games on The Green last week.
All enjoyed the activities with some great skills on show. The U-10 hurlers will participate in a Mullinahone tournament on Saturday. Players will receive a timetable of events during the week.
Numbers drawn in last week’s Juvenile Lotto draw were 3, 6, 13, 7, 15. There wasn’t a winner of the jackpot prize of E3,250 and eight players matched three numbers to win E30 each.
Carrick Swan Club thanks all those who continue to play the lotto and reminds those who might like to join that weekly entry is E2 and this can be paid to any committee member or any lotto promoter, who will call to collect each week. This week’s jackpot prize is E3,500. The public’s continued support for the draw helps the Club provide for all its juvenile players.
Congratulations to the Tipperary minor hurling team on their All-Ireland semi-final success last Sunday last and commiserations to the senior team on their loss.
Supporters are reminded of the Tipperary fundraising initiative to pledge/donate E100 towards the Tipperary team’s expenses.
It has been a most successful year so far for all Tipperary hurling and football teams, and Carrick Swan Club members and supporters support for this fundraiser would be very much appreciated. All those who contribute will qualify for a draw to win some great prizes?
