Cashel King Cormacs defeated Arravale Rovers 4-11 to 1-15 in the semi-final of the Tipperary Co-Op Super Valu junior B hurling championship at Dundrum on Sunday afternoon

They now meet Golden-Kilfeacle in the final.

Cashel enjoyed a great start, scoring three goals in the opening quarter and led by 3-7 to 0-3 after seventeen minutes.

Cashel’s goals were scored by Gavin Manton, Jonathan Walsh and Davy Ryan.

As if exhausted by their effort or shocked by their success, Cashel didn’t score again until the tenth minute after the interval and this was their only score until the 25th minute of the second-half.

In the meantime Arravale began to impose themselves on the game.

They added four points to trail by 3-7 to 0-7 at half-time and then scored 1-6 on the resumption to reduce the Cashel lead to two points, 3-8 to 1-13.

It appeared as if they had the impetus to go on to win.

However, Cashel resurrected their act, scored three points and Gavin Manton added a goal a minute before time, as against two further points for Arravale, to leave the final score 4-11 to 1-15.

Best for Cashel were Kevin O’Leary, Christopher Ryan, Jonathan Kennedy, Gavin Manton and Jonathan Walsh. For Arravale Pearse Richardson, Wallace Burke, Eoin Lonergan, Daragh Coughlan and Ned Lowry stood out.
