Good wins for Arravale Rovers and Cashel KC under 14s

Last weekend saw the opening rounds of the West Tipp Bord na nOg U14A and U14B Hurling championship with both competitions throwing up a number of pointers as to where the West titles are heading.

In a repeat of the Feile Na Gael final Arravale Rovers again emerged the winners over the Kickhams by a two point margin.

Cashel King Cormacs who were League Finalists runners up to Arravale Rovers also made it through to the next round helped on with a late goal for a five point margin victory over Clonoulty/Rossmore.

In the U14B Championship and a repeat of the deferred League Final fixture, Cappawhite proved far too good for their neighbours Eire Og.

The other title contenders Emly/Sean Treacys were equally impressive winners over Galtee Rovers.

Golden was the venue for the clash of Lattin/Cullen and Rosegreen and following a high scoring game fifty minutes hurling with both sides on target with six goals, it was Lattin/Cullen who advance to the next round having put over twelve points to the opposition’s two.

Sunday will be busy

On the fixtures side this Sunday August 11 will be a busy day for the Eire Og Annacarty club who are hosting the complete West U12 Hurling finals programme with no less than four finals down for decison.

Proceedings will get underway at 4.45pm with the U12D Final, followed at 5.45pm with the U12C Final, 6.45pm is throw in time for the U12B final and finishing with the clash of Cashel King Cormacs and the Kickhams in the U12A West Final at 7.45pm.

So plenty of hurling to see in Annacarty

On Monday August 12th Clonoulty/Rossmore and the Emly/Treacys combination who are both on course to clash in the U16A Hurling championship West final will go head to head in what could be a cracking dress rehearsal League final in Dundrum, throw in is at 7pm.
