This Sunday our Intermediate hurlers play the first round of the County Intermediate hurling Championship against Rockwell Rovers in Bansha at 3pm.

This is the first time in many years that Cahir have played Rockwell Rovers in championship hurling, so quite an intense contest is expected.

On Wednesday night (24th) in Ned Hall Park at 6.45pm we play Ardfinnan in the M.F.C.

Congratulations to our county minor players Liam Casey, Niall McKenna and Mikey O’Connor who were part of the Tipperary team that beat Clare in the Munster minor football championship in Ennis on Saturday night last. Also Paddy O’Flaherty who was a selector and trainer with the team.

Our U11 community games squad played Ballingarry last week. While the young lads were up by two goals at half time it was backs to the wall stuff in the second half. A very strong Ballingarry side made good use of the very strong wind to take the lead in the second half. Unfortunately our lads lost out by a narrow margin.

The U10 squad went to Newcastle last week to play St Mary’s. Two teams travelled and some fine hurling played.

The Cahir Camp will take place between July 15 and 19.

Our U14A team had a good win against Moyle Rovers last Thursday night. Although behind by 1point at half time they really got stuck into the game in the second half. The final score was 1-7 to 1-4.
