Tipperary’s Seamus Hayes won his second Connolly’s Red Mills Munster Grand Prix of the season in convincing fashion at West Clare show on Sunday, (23rd June ) riding his own Heatbreaker gelding Twister.
The Fethard based rider came out on top after a 9 horse jump off.
“The ground conditions were excellent and I am delighted to take the win. Twister is naturally fast and always gives you a chance in the jump off”, commented Hayes afterwards, who won the league outright in 2012.
Second place went to Peter Moloney with Lady Silver. William McDonnell took third place with Castlecomer Q, just ahead of league leader Francis Connors who finished fourth with Hyperion.
The seventh leg of the series takes place at Tallow Gymkhana on Thursday, 4th July.
