Tipperary’s Minor Hurlers take on Clare at Semple Stadium on this Friday evening (24th) bidding for a place in the Munster Final on July 10th.

They were beaten by Waterford in the opening round at Walsh Park but bounced back well to defeat Cork in a play-off at Semple Stadium at the beginning of May.

Manager Raymie Ryan is expecting a tough challenge from Clare, although he will have been pleased with his side’s 10-point victory over Cork, when they won by 2-16 to 1-9.

The stars of the win included Mullinahone’s Cathal Horan, who scored 2-2 from play; Loughmore’s Liam McGrath, a cousin of Tipp senior star Noel; Clonoulty’s Conor Hammersly; Borris-Ileigh’s Dan McCormack and Noel McGrath’s brother John.

The throw-in at Semple Stadium is at 7.30.

Waterford meet Limerick in the other semi-final at Walsh Park on Saturday evening.
