Arravale Rovers defeated Eire Og by 0-12 to 1-8 in the semi-final of the Ballinalard West senior football championship, played at Kickham Park, Dundrum on Sunday evening.

Eire Og gave an improved performance on the resumption and got a great boost to their chances when Damian O’Brien converted a penalty after five minutes. The same player added a point to draw level six minutes later.
