The very best in the sport of Pitch and Putt in Ireland will be at Hillview next weekend.

Ray Murphy of Cork, the current All-Ireland singles champion, is ranked No. 1, followed by Jonathan Goodall (Kerry) at two and John Crangle (Dublin) at three. This trio along with many more top ranks are on the way to Clonmel.

No. 1 lady Christine Byrne (Kildare) is also competing as are Geraldine Ward (Dublin) and Margaret Hogan (Offaly). Incidentally our own Breda Lonergan (Tipp Hills) is No. 4 ranked in the country.

Hillview have three competitors at the weekend - Noel Joyce (top 20) and James Cleary (top 50) in the gents and Shula McCarthy in the ladies. Noel who won the Munster Matchplay in 2012 and holds the course record at Hillview at 22 under par for 36 holes will be hoping it will be a great weekend.
