Clonmel Racecourse has just announced details of its two September race meetings.

The first of these takes place on Thursday, 1st September with a 4.45pm start. The racecourse has linked up with The Carers Association and special tickets for reduced admission are being distributed to all the local carers. It is hoped that as many of them as possible will get the chance to come and enjoy the racing and the live music in the Club Stand Bar.

As this meeting falls on the eve of the All Ireland Hurling Final weekend, anyone wearing a Tipperary or Kilkenny jersey will be admitted for half price (Adults €7.50, OAP €5).

The second September race meeting is the Tipp FM Family Raceday on Sunday, 25th September. Thanks to the generosity of the Clonmel Racecourse Supporters Club the general admission that day will only be €5 (Children U-16 will be admitted free). There promises to be something for everyone, adults and children, including a Best Dressed Lady competition kindly sponsored by Jaruso Boutique in Fethard. Racing will start at 2pm but the gates will be open from 12.30pm for anyone wishing to have Sunday lunch in the Club Stand Restaurant.
