With a thrilling victory over a much-fancied Dundalk FC youths side on Saturday last, Cahir Park youths march proudly into the last eight in Ireland in the FAI Youth Cup competition.

A place in the last eight in the country for the Park and thoroughly deserved.

With such a scalp as the excellent Dundalk side accounted for, who knows to where this adventure may lead?

With a great youths victory in the bag, the juniors started Sunday intending to emulate the younger team and with Premier League pacesetters Clonmel Town as visitors, this Tipperary Cup challenge was going to be a mountain to climb.

Cahir’s Tipp Cup involvement comes to an end for another year, next Sunday it’s the first of three chances for silverware for the season with Two-Mile-Borris providing the opposition in the Shield Division One final.
