West U21 defeat but Juvenile win for King Cormacs

West U21 A Football

West U21 A Football

Our U21s suffered defeat at the hands of Arravale Rovers last weekend.

An under-strength Cashel side took the field and after 15 minutes things were certainly going to plan, leading 3-01 to 0-1. The Tipperary town side soon found their rhythm however and a late flurry of scores before halftime saw them take a one point lead into the interval.

The second half saw total dominance as Cashel struggled to contain a now rampant Arravale Rovers side as they ran out comfortable winners, 6-12 to 4-02. That said, weighing up all the pros and cons Cashel showed well in the opening half and with a fully fit team, fully rested and ready for battle they will hold every chance against Golden in next weekends West Semi final.

Team: Owen Quirke, Niall Fitzgerald, Paddy Morrissey, Niall Anglim, Shane Murphy, Cathal Minogue, James Cummins, Dylan Fitzell, Gearoid Slattery, Eoghan Ryan (1-0), Seamus Reade (1-1), Michael McDermott (1-0), Robert Anglim, Brian Quinlan (1-1), Adrian O’Dwyer. Sub used, Niall Laffan for Adrian O’Dwyer, Alan Cummins for Dylan Fitzell & Mark Wallace for Brian Quinlan.
