The Mid Tipp Hill Walkers summer rock-climbing season got off to a great start when, last Tuesday, 28 experienced and beginner rock-climbers descended on Ballykeefe Amphitheatre. It is marvellous to be back, and we look forward to many more good Tuesdays in the former quarry. Meeting point is opposite the Horse and Jockey every Tuesday at 6.15pm, and new climbers are always welcome – just bring a pair of old runners. For further details, check out our website at www.midtipphillwalkers.ie or call Dan Condren at 087 2273082.
Six members of the club are preparing to head to Scotland this coming Sunday for a week’s serious walking a climbing in the central Highlands. We hope the weather is kind to them and look forward to their report. Next Sunday the usual walk takes place from Cashel.
