Carrick Davins Senior hurling team’s championship game against Killenaule has been postponed until a later date due to their players involvement with county teams.

Carrick Davins Senior hurling team’s championship game against Killenaule has been postponed until a later date due to their players involvement with county teams.

The team’s next match will be against Mullinahone. Date and venue yet to be decided.

The Club’s Junior football team play Newcastle in Ned Hall Park, Clonmel on Saturday, May 11 at 5pm.

The minors play Ballyporeen in the South Football Semi-Final in Marlfield on Wednesday at 7pm.

Meanwhile, the U-16s played Kilsheelan in the B football championship’s last group game last Monday. While the Davin team were beaten 3-12 to 3-09, it was their best game of the season so far. The team plays Kilsheelan again in the South Semi-Final in Monroe on May 13 at 7pm.

The U-12 footballers finished their season with a narrow defeat to Grangemockler. It is a young team and the Club looks forward to their progress in the coming years and in this year’s hurling championship.

Training for U-6s, U-8, U-10s and U-12 continues in the all-weather pitch every Tuesday. U-6s and U-8s will train from 6pm to 7pm while U-10s and U-12s will train from 7pm to 8pm. These teams train in the field on Thursday. All groups will train from 7pm to 8pm and must remember to bring their boots.

The Club’s lotto jackpot wasn’t won last week. Five players matched three numbers and won €40 each. Numbers drawn were 1,6,9,17.

The Davin Club extend sympathy to the Walsh family of St. Johns Tce. on the death of Leo and to the Power family of Orchard Crescent on the death of Joe. The Club wishes Tom Mackey a speedy recovery from his recent illness.
