Arravale Rovers had six points to spare over Sean Treacy’s in their junior A football championship game at Sean Treacy Park last Thursday.
Sean Treacy’s got off to the better start and scored four points before Arravale Rovers settled down. When the Tipperary Town boys did eventually settle they replied with eight uninterrupted points and a goal by Paddy Dalton just before the half-time whistle to give them the lead by 1-8 to 0-4.
On the resumption they went further ahead and continued mounting up a scoreline adding 2-4 with reply. Arravale were 3-12 to 0-4 in front entering the final quarter and out of sight.
At this stage they made wholesale changes, which allowed Treacy’s back into the game. They scored 3-2 without reply which put a different complexion on it.
