Tipp women’s mini-marathon attracts 1,000 runners

The Tipperary Women’s Mini Marathon organised each year by North Tipperary Sports Partnership and South Tipperary Sports Partnership has once again attracted large numbers this year, with 1000 ladies signed up to take to the roads of Clonmel this Sunday, September 29, and run walk or jog the 10k route.

Race Organisers Elaine Cullinan (NTSP) Valerie Connolly (STSP) commented that registration is now closed and they are delighted with the entry levels this year, and that all the marketing and PR efforts have resulted in large numbers registering for the event this year.

“We would like to remind participants of the Race Pack Collection information. You can collect your race numbers and race packs from the Central Technical Institute, Dillon Street, Clonmel on Saturday 28 between 10am and 2pm or Sunday from 8am to 10am sharp.

We are really looking forward to having Nenagh girl and winner of the 2013 Flora Dublin Mini Marathon Siobhan Doherty with us to offically start the event and participate” commented Elaine Cullinan (NTSP)

Valerie Connolly (STSP) commented - “Start time is 11am sharp and we would advise participants to be on Dillon Street for 10.30am at the latest as the warm up will start at 10.40 am sharp. The Tipperary Mini Marathon committee are also very grateful for the support received from local businesses this year, Clonmel Oil, TIPP FM, Dunnes Stores & LIDL.
