Carrick United’s medals presentation evening was held in the Carrig Hotel on Saturday night last where the season’s Muster Junior cup and local league winners were honoured.

Club members, young and old, along with friends and partners enjoyed a fantastic evening of celebration and fun.

It was an evening of recognition and also of remembrance as they toasted victory and paid respect to those they lost during the season.

The O’Neills were present to remember PJ, the honorary President, who passed away earlier this year and the family presented Seamus McGrath and Michael Gillman with their new Joint President scrolls.

The O’Connell family were appreciative of Anthony ‘Nipper’ Power’s generosity in presenting them with his Munster Cup winning jersey in honour of their son and brother, Emmett.

Club chairman Liam Wells thanked all club committees for the season’s work, supporters for their loyalty and all the teams and coaches for their efforts which have brought great honour to the club, town, themselves and their families during the year.

The Division 1B, 2A league winners and the victorious Munster Junior Cup squad received great acclamation and rapturous applause from friends, family and supporters as they were presented with their awards.
