Joe Brennan to be elected as new Chairman

Joe Brennan will be elected as the South Tipp GAA Board’s new Chairman at the Bord’s annual Convention, which will be held at the GAA Centre in Clonmel at 7.30 next Monday evening, 12th.

Joe Brennan will be elected as the South Tipp GAA Board’s new Chairman at the Bord’s annual Convention, which will be held at the GAA Centre in Clonmel at 7.30 next Monday evening, 12th.

The Grangemockler man, who has served as vice-chairman for the past three years, is the only nominee to succeed Mullinahone’s Dick Egan.

The nomineees for the other positions are as follows -

Vice-chairman -Seamus Mullins (Commercials), Michael Cooney (Ballingarry), Tomas O’Leary (Ballybacon/Grange) and Hugo Browne (Killenaule). Secretary - Noel Byrne (Fethard), outgoing

Treasurer - Mick Quinn (Cahir), outgoing

Assistant Treasurer - Tom Cusack (Fr. Sheehy’s), outgoing

County Board Trustee - Mick Egan (Commercials), outgoing

Child Officer - management appointment

Fixtures Committee (two positions) - Hugo Browne (Killenaule), Victor Direen (Mullinahone), Catherine Mockler (St. Patrick’s), Paddy Ryan (Ardfinnan) and Peter Macken (Ballyporeen).

Congress Delegate - Noel Byrne (Fethard), Dick Egan (Mullinahone) and Robert Hall (Killenaule).

Munster Convention Delegate - Seamus Mullins (Commercials), Noel Byrne (Fethard) and Dick Egan (Mullinahone).
