The Under 11 D1 Hurling final saw Upperchurch and Rosegreen collide in an exciting and entertaining game. Rosegreen were appearing in their first final in 16 years in Semple Stadium, while Upperchurch were back after a few years absence. The early exchanges were fast and furious, as both teams were eager to ensure it would be their day. Charlie Costello scored two brilliant long range points for Rosegreen in the early stages. Andrew Moloney scored a very good goal from 25 yards for Rosegreen, before Charlie Costello buried a free in the back of the net. Rosegreen were now in control. Upperchurch scored two points during the first half from Luke Shanahan and Darragh Bourke. In the second half Andrew Moloney pointed for Rosegreen with a great strike on the run before Charlie Costello scored a goal for Rosegreen with a well struck shot. This was followed by two goals for Rosegreen by Eoin McSweeney. Charlie McSweeney pointed for Rosegreen at the end. It was a special day for Rosegreen, as they won their first County Final in nearly 20 years. Upperchurch had excellent performers in Darragh Burke and Luke Shanahan. Best on the day for Rosegreen were Andrew Moloney and Charlie Costello.
