With a bitter breeze on Sunday morning last which brought down the curtains on the last chapter of our rugby season. Kate Moloney spearheaded this event with boys and girls playing tag-rugby. This was a novelty for our boys, and the girls playing with the flair and style that they normally display at tag-rugby. It wasn’t long before both sides were playing open fast rugby. Everybody was well warmed up in a short period and played with fun, laughter and smiles all round. It was a wonderful way to finish up our season.
Many thank yous this year to our many coaches who gave their time, passion, experience and guidance to Mini Rugby in Cashel RFC. Many life skills have been passed on to over 150 children at this level so again, we thank you. To the ladies who provided tea, coffees etc, in the clubhouse our thanks go out to you all too.
Our children will remember the U10s Lansdowne trip, U11s, U12s and 13s trip to the Aviva Stadium for the Argentinean game in November. U11s played in Thomand Park for the Osprey vs Munster game, supported by some of the U12s. And in April our U13s are heading to the Nou Camp stadium in Barcelona. We had a charity walk for the Irish Guide Dogs Association which raised €2260. This was Cashel RFC’s way of “Giving Something Back”.
Over all one can say this was a very busy season. With this we say farewell to the 2012/13 season and look forward to seeing you all again next September for 2013/14.
