Eugene Cooney, Clonmel Racecourse, says the entire programme of races on Clonmel Oil Chase Day is now about quality. “Blazing Tempo won the Mares race on the supporting card last year and she later won the famous Galway Plate. Two other winners, Jim Will Fix It and The Shepherd, enjoyed success at the big Leopardstown Christmas meeting, proving the high standard of racehorse that competes at Powerstown Park on Clonmel Oil Chase Day”.

This year Clonmel Oil and Clonmel Racecourse have come up with a real quality all-in package for racegoers. For only €25 you get admission, a race card, lunch and a €5 Tote voucher. Tickets must be pre-purchased on or before Tuesday, 8th November and thanks to Clonmel Oil all ticket holders will be entered in a draw for a €300 petrol or diesel voucher.

The next race meeting at Clonmel takes place on Thursday, 27th October and will feature the Graham Norris Memorial Handicap Hurdle, kindly sponsored by Victor and Anita Norris.
