Hurlers beaten:

In the Intermediate Hurling County Championship Round 1 v Shannon Rovers in The Ragg Saturday evening we were defeated on a scoreline of Shannon Rovers 2-13 Moyle Rovers 0-13.

Shane Luttrell and Sean Keating were outstanding for the Rovers while Alec Owens was excellent over the frees.

Our scores came from: Alec Owens 0-6, Sean Keating 0-3, Ciaran Lorrigan, Ross Mulcahy, Michael Mulcahy and Brian Gleeson 0-1 each.

Minor footballers win:

Our Minor footballers took on Kilsheelan/Kilcash on Wednesday night last. The game was closely contested in the first half with the interval score Moyle Rovers 0-8 Kilsheelan 0-4. Ian McGrath opened the second half with a goal and 13 minutes in county minor Ross Mulcahy made his way out of the back line to go up the field and score our second goal. The final score was Moyle Rovers 2-13 Kilsheelan Kilcash 1-9

Best wishes to Tadgh Fitzgerald and his team in their DRS Racing Project this week in Griffith College, Dublin.

County Board Draw:

The new 2013/14 County Board Draw was launched in Monroe last Tuesday night. The prize fund this year is €225,000. Promoters will be approaching existing members and potential members in the next few weeks. Half the money taken in is retained by the club.

Late Late Show star:

Well done to James Harney with his polished performance on the Late Late Show recently. We wish him the best of luck in his business project.

Camogie:

Well done to our Under 14 team who had an excellent win over Carrick Swan in Monroe last week. The girls advance from their group to play Cashel in the county quarter-final, which will have been played by the time you read this.

Full-time score against Swan was 7-6 to 1-2.

The U 16s did not play their final group game due to a mix-up in fixtures and this game v Annacarty goes ahead this Thursday evening.

The Under 12s played Brian Borus in Monroe last Saturday and after an even first half they had to give way to a stronger Clogheen-based outfit.

Ladies football:

The seniors played Cappawhite in Monroe in the County League last Thursday evening and were full value for their victory. Final score Moyle Rovers 3-9 Cappawhite 2-9.

The Under 16s lost to Cahir last Sunday morning for a county semi-final. Well done to our girls who gave everything for the cause.

The under 12s had a very useful challenge game against Fethard last Thursday evening.
