Tipp minor footballers can still have a say in destination of All-Ireland

TIPPERARY must now regroup in preparation for their quarter-final clash against the Ulster champions.

Once the initial bitter disappointment of Sunday’s defeat subsides they can reflect on the Kerry game and take the positives and learn the lessons from it.

Two jump-out facts are the lack of scoring power upfront and the concession of frees.

In three Munster games Tipp have scored 1-10 (v Clare); 0-11 (v Cork) and 0-10 (v Kerry) with only one point from play from the forwards on Sunday.

The second is the discipline of the backline and the concession of too many frees.

With a month of total football ahead and all dual players back on board there is no reason why Tipp can’t have a say in the All-Ireland race.
