Cashel Town 2 – 1 Ballyneale

Cashel Town 2 – 1 Ballyneale

Cashel Town won this Division Three tie on Sunday last with a late penalty but took an early lead through Murty Browne with a decent finish after only 15 minutes.

The home side had the better of the game but conceded on 75 minutes with a great goal from David Morton but with ten minutes left, Ger O’Dwyer won a penalty and converted it himself to give the home side all three points.

Burncourt Celtic 1 – 4 Clerihan

Burncourt Celtic’s travails since winning the Third Division Shield less than a month ago continued on Sunday when they were comprehensively beaten by a strong Clerihan outfit.

The home side opened the better and scored through Chris English after ten minutes before Clerihan got back on level terms when Paddy Doyle headed home at the back post ten minutes before the half-time interval.

Two minutes into the second half, Clerihan were in front when a carbon copy of the first goal was scored by Thomas Hill and then things got even worse for Burncourt Celtic when they went a man down.

The visitors capitalised on the numerical advantage and two further goals from Clerihan’s Craig Condon and a penalty by Alan Campbell sealed the points for the away side.
