Hennessy Cup win for Cashel Community School

Cashel Community School U/15 Hurling Team awho won the Hennessey Cup (County Tipperary U/15) recently defeating Carrick-On-Suir in the final in KIlsheelan. The team are pictured with their toaches Mr. Brendan Ryan and Mr. Seamus Carr.

After a tough opening quarter Cashel got going and went on to lead 1-7 to 0-8 at half-time, the goal from Andy Byrnes. Cashel faced the wind in the second half. With 10 minutes to go, a goal from Ross Bonnar brought Cashel right back into the game. Andy Byrnes levelled for Cashel with a well struck free. With time almost up Sean O’Connell stroked home a vital goal to put the Community School into the lead, winning 3-10 to 1-12.
