Teams ready to represent Tipperary at Community Games Munster Finals

Hundreds of young people from all over Munster will travel to the University of Limerick on this coming Saturday, July 14th to contest the Provincial Finals of the HSE Community Games summer programme of events. The following teams will proudly represent Tipperary in their quest to win further honours and earn their place at the national finals in AIT, Athlone in August.

Hundreds of young people from all over Munster will travel to the University of Limerick on this coming Saturday, July 14th to contest the Provincial Finals of the HSE Community Games summer programme of events. The following teams will proudly represent Tipperary in their quest to win further honours and earn their place at the national finals in AIT, Athlone in August.

Basketball Girls U-16 – Thurles are in semi final two, they will play the winners of Kilrush v. Abbeyfeale at 12 noon on Court No 2 in the main sports arena

Camogie U-14 – Nenagh v. Sixmilebridge, at 11am on U.L. Playing Pitch

Futsal -U13 Boys – Silvermines v. Enniskeane 10.45am Court 4 in main arena.

Futsal U-13 Girls – Lattin Cullen are in semi final one, they will play the winners of Duagh/Lyre, Kerry v. Croagh/Kilfinny, Limerick at 11.30am in the PESS Building

Football U-10 Mixed – Roscrea play Regional Limerick in quarter final.

Football U-12 Girls – Clerihan play Beaufort, Kerry in quarter final

Hardcourt Tennis U-13 Mixed – Cashel v. Ballinlough, Cork in semi final 2 at 11am

Hardcourt Tennis U-16 Mixed – Cashel v. Blennerville, Kerry in semi final 1 at 11am.

Hurling U-11 – Cloughjordan v Doora/Barefield, Clare in quarter final.

Mini Rugby U-11 – Powerstown Lisronagh v. Fermoy in semi final one at 11am

Rounders U-13 Boys – Silvermines v. St. Senan’s Limerick in final

Rounders U-13 Girls – Burgess v. St Senan’s in semi final one at 11am

Rounders U-15 Boys – Silvermines play winners of Sixmilebridge v. St. Kevins Limerick.

Skittles U-12 – Ballingarry v. Carrigtwohill at 1pm

Skittles U-14 – Ss Peter and Paul’s Clonmel v. Ballybrown/Clarina, Limerick at 1pm

Skittles U-16 – Ss Peter and Paul’s Clonmel v. Kilkishen/O’Callaghan Mills, Clare at 1pm.

All skittles games will take place at the back of the U.L. main sports areas.

Adrian Anglim, Clonmel is one of the co-ordinators for the skittles events.

Soccer U-12 Boys – Moycarkey Borris v. Regional, Limerick in quarter final

Soccer U-12 Girls – Roscrea v. Ennis in semi final two

Tag Rugby U-11 – Drangan Cloneen v. Enniskeane, Cork winner v. Kerry in semi final two at 12 noon.

Tag Rugby U-14 – Drangan Cloneen v. Quinn/Clooney, Clare in semi final one at 11am

All the outdoor games will be played on the various U.L. playing pitches.

All teams must report to their venues at least half an hour before their game is due to start. Well done to Cashel Rosegreen, Drangan Cloneen and Ss Peter and Paul’s areas who are all doubly engaged in Tennis, Tag Rugby and Skittles. Ballingarry skittles team are current champions and are warm favourites to successfully defend their crown. Medals will be presented to both teams who are lucky enough to qualify for the finals in all events while perpetual shields will also be presented to the winning teams. Win, lose or draw it is a marvellous achievement for any team to be competing in provincial finals after months of training and playing several games to win their county titles.
