Team Sepam Sport travel to Letterkenny this week for the Joule Donegal International Rally, the 5th round of their Clonakilty Blackpudding Irish Tarmac Championship campaign.
The event will bring the crews across 20 stages stretching from around Letterkenny to the scenic Fanad Head.
Clonmel’s Gus Kearney and navigator, Kilcommon’s Tommy Hayes travel to Donegal to keep their Group N Championship bid alive in their Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 9.
They currently lie 2nd in the class standings of the Clonakilty Blackpudding Irish Tarmac Rally Championship to Cork’s David Guest. They are hoping for a change of fortune in their Evo, run as always by Fermanagh preparation expert Gerry McGarrity, following two trying events in Killarney and on the Circuit of Ireland.
Team mates Pat Kearney and Alistair Wyllie go into this weekend in 4th in the Group N standings after 2 fine results on the Circuit and Killarney, but sadly will not be making the trip up to Letterkenny in the sister Evo, due to work commitments.
With over 150 entries, it promises to be a rally not to be missed.
The event starts on Friday morning and end on Sunday evening.
