UCD scholarships for former Rockwell College students

Two former students from Rockwell College have been awarded prestigious scholarships by University College Dublin.

Killian Farrell (17) and Jessie Barlow (18) who both completed their Leaving Certificate at Rockwell College in 2012 have been awarded “Ad Astra” scholarship in recognition of their outstanding results.

Killian who is from Golden is currently studying veterinary at UCD while Jesse from Clonmel is studying 
Medicine.

This year 11 students from Rockwell have received third Level scholarships in recognition of their outstanding leaving cert results in 2012.

They include UCD Entrance Scholarships: Kate Binchy (Clonmel), Richard Kennedy (Tipp Town), Sophie Sharpe (Clonmel) and Philip Quirke (Clonmel), TCD Entrance Exhibitions: Alison O’Connor (Kerry), Jane Hannigan 
(Lisronagh), Johnny Walsh (Cahir), 
Dermot Maher Johnstown.

Both Killian and Jesse will receive their scholarships at a special ceremony in UCD on Thursday January 24.
