Majella's art exhibition opens at Cashel Library

Majella Ryan (Neville), Mobarnane, Fethard, officially opened her art exhibition in Cashel Library, and will remain on view for the remainder of May. Majella teamed up with John Hayes from County Kildare for the joint exhibition and will have 28 paintings on display. All are welcome to come along to view her wonderful work.

Majella Ryan is a self-taught artist, she works from her home in Ballinure. She juggles her painting with a busy home life. After leaving school she studied for a year at the Crawford School of Art in Cork. She decided not to make a career from painting but has continued to paint all her life. She paints mainly with acrylics but has also worked with watercolours and oils. Colour and flow are very evident in her paintings and she derives her inspirations from Irish folklore and mythology.
