Oola 2-8, Pallasgreen 2-8.
An injury time point from James English earned Oola a replay in this East Final played in rather poor under foot conditions in Caherelly on Monday evening last. The first score came in the fifth minute when Oola were awarded a penalty which was scored by Mark Bourke.Pallasgreen replied almost immediately with a point from a free before points from Eamonn Hanley and Colm O`Shea put Oola in the lead 1-2 to 0-1 after ten minutes of play.Pallasgreen began to win a lot of ball around mid-field and added points in the 14th,20th 21st and 25th minutes with James English replying with one for Oola.In the 29th minute a high ball in to the Oola goalmouth was fisted to the Oola net by Alan Wallace to give Pallasgreen the lead at half time 1-5 to 1-3.
Oola were first to score after the break with a point from Mark Bourke to cut the lead to a single point but two points from play put Pallasgreen into a three point lead. Two points from Eamonn Hanley and one from Eamonn Landers brought the teams level for the first time after 10 minutes. Oola were awarded another penalty when James English was pulled down in the square and once again Mark Bourke scored with an unstoppable shot.We had to wait another five minutes for the next score which was also a penalty, this time for Pallasgreen which was scored by Joseph O`Keeffe in the 20th minute to leave the teams level once again. Both teams tried hard for a winner and when Pallasgreen went ahead with just minutes remaining it looked all over for Oola until James English scored the equalising point with the last kick of the game.
