To The Fahy family, Carnahalla on the death after a long illness of a dear husband, father and grandfather. John Jo formerly of CBS Doon died on June 17, peacefully with all his family at his bedside in Millford Care Centre. After a huge funeral Friday And Saturday John was laid to rest in his native Doon on Sunday after 2p.m. concelebrated mass.

Rest in Peace Nancy

The funeral took place of Nancy O’Connor, Hollyford last week. Nancy was the super cook in the Day-Care Centre Cappawhite for some years before her retirement before she fell ill to the regret of all her friends. Sympathy to her daughter Deirdre and her sister, Sr. Mary, London and extended family. God grant her dear soul eternal rest.


On Wednesday, 15th June four pupils went to Latin for a tennis tournament. The following pupils played Thomas Coughlan, Sinead Buckley, Alan O’Dwyer and captain Dean Kelly. They were knocked out of the cup but played the plate. They then drew with Shronell, Dean and Thomas played, Shronell won and the boys were runners up. All in all it was a brillian day out.


Heartiest congratulations to Austin and Noreen Buckley, Batchelors Walk who celebrated the 1st round, 25 years with a family meal but will travel to the island of Clonganotty for a super holiday later. May you enjoy the next 25 with lots of health and happiness to you and your family.


Birthday greetings were in order on Saturday June 25th for Ann-Marie Armshaw O’Grady Oola, who celebrated with her husband, Joe and many friends at their parents pub, Liam and Eileen, The Square.
