PARISH MISSION

Parish Mission will begin on Monday, September 19, until September 25. Mission Spiritual Director is Fr. Richard O’Halloran who will open the Mission on Monday with mass in Ballylooby at 7.30pm. Full time details next week, mass times are posted on church notice boards.

DUHILL DRAMATIC SOCIETY

Duhill Dramatic Society held their meeting with their new Director Michael Dunne from Mitchelstown last week. Readings have now commenced and will continue on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

BALLYLOOBY CASTLEGRACE JUVENILE GAA CARD DRIVE

Results next week. Cards continue every Monday night in Ballylooby community Hall at 8.30pm followed by light refreshments.

BALLYLOOBY CASTLEGRACE GAA LOTTO

Results for Monday, August 29: No Jackpot winner. Lucky numbers drawn. Four match three winners will receive €50 Sinead Fitzgerald, Killenure, J. O’Dwyer Newcastle, Karen Canty Scart East, Ml. Doyle Tubrid. Next week’s jackpot €1,400. Draw takes place every Monday night at 9.30pm in Clubhouse.

BALLYLOOBY LADIES CLUB

The Ladies Club will hold their meeting this Wednesday, September 7, in Ballylooby Community Hall at 8pm. Plans have to be discussed on what the club would like to do for the coming season. All are welcome tea and a chat afterwards.

DUHILL GALA DAY

Events will begin on Sunday, at 9.30am (after mass) with cake sale (cakes may be handed in on the morning before mass) followed by Fun Cycle at 12.noon sharp, approx: 10k from Duhill Hall to Clogheen via Bohernagore Cross, and back to field at Castlegrace Cross Roads (by kind permission of Jim and Maureen Moloney). All ages welcome, Fancy Dress optional, prizes for first Lady/Gent Home, Boy/Girl and best costume. €2. per bike, helmets compulsory .

Photography competition, pictures of your choice,: two entries per person, all age groups welcome (include name and number on back of photo) Prizes to be won and to enter contact Maggie Moloney, Castlegrace Tel: 086-3846839.or photo’s can be dropped in to P.J. and Mgt English Fruit and Veg Shop, Clogheen, or Marie Burke The Shop Ballylooby Village. Other events planned, include children’s relays, GAA Blitzes, Over 40’s match, Novelty Competitions, Pony Rides, Dog Show, Face Painting, and Bouncy Castles. Tug of War competition, Farmers Market and Craft Stalls and much more, a family day out not to be missed. Proceeds go towards the up-keep of hall and the senior citizens party. A meeting to discuss the final details of the forthcoming Gala Day will take place on this Wednesday, September 7, in Duhill Hall at 8pm. Those wishing to help on the day, please come along to this meeting, your help will be much appreciated.
