Woodenstown, Chamberlainstown, Whitelands, Newtown, Graigue, Loughkent Lower, Caddlestown, Springfield, Shanballyard and Ballinattin Community Alert Area. A Community alert Scheme has been set up in this area. At our last meeting held on 5th October, 2011, it was decided to assign two volunteers to represent each of the above areas to make it easier for people to contact the people in their townsland. Funding will be required to meet the cost of erecting signs, paperwork, stationery etc., we are asking all households to contribute a minimum of €5.00 to cover expenses. At this stage all households should have been visited by volunteers and we would ask for the next meeting that all volunteers submit details of phone numbers/money, so that we may proceed to the next step of getting signs and producing a map for each townsland. It is proposed to have the next meeting on Wednesday, 11 April, 2012 in New Inn Community Centre at 8.00 pm.
