Sean Laffey, President of the Cashel Chamber of Commerce, said he was delighted that long serving Chamber member and past President Dr. Niall Gregory’s work for the town has been recognised this year, with the accolade of “Cashel Person of the Year” bestowed on him for 2012.
“We’ve known for a long time that Niall seems to have endless amounts of energy to devote to all sorts of projects and we are delighted that his work, particularly in the context of the EU Rural Charter has been so publicly recognised. I am sure he built a great team to bring the EU Charter to the Town and we hope that many members of the EU Charter voluntary group have caught his enthusiasm for event management and we hope that they will use their experience to give a helping hand at events this coming year. We also hope that many of the international links formed over that glorious weekend last summer will one day lead to business opportunities across the EU for Cashel and Cashel people.
“Niall is a shining example to business people across the town, like all entrepreneurs they are natural risk takers, have great self belief, have massive stores of motivation and are natural organizers. Entrepreneurs with flair and imagination are key assets of the town and those like Niall who are willing to spend their time and talent on activities that go beyond the nine to five of business life are to be thanked for everything they do for us.”
