The death occurred recently of Canon Paul Beecher Cahir and Tallow. He was Parish Priest in this parish from 1981 to 1987 before transferring to Cahir. He retired in 2000. Our sympathy to his family and friends. May he rest in peace.

MOYLE ROVERS GAAOur Senior footballers had their first outing in the South Championship on Saturday afternoon last against Kilsheelan and won 1-19 to 0-6. See match report.
In the county football league, our division 1 team took on Cappawhite on Saturday night and won 4-11 to 0-10
Our minor footballers took on Kilsheelan in the next round of the championship. There was great performances from Philip Quirke, Ross Mulcahy, Shane Lonergan & Rian Clancy. Philip scored 0-6 , two of which he scored from play and won on a shoreline of Moyle Rovers 0-12 Kilsheelan 1-7.
