JUVENILE GAA

The U12A football County Semi-final took place last Wednesday evening in Templetuohy, our opponents were Moyle Rovers. Unfortunately we were defeated by just 2 points. In what was a thrilling match especially the 2nd half, our players had no luck with the ball, narrowly missing the net on several occasions. With only 10 minutes per half it took our lads a little while to settle and were down 6 points at half time, in the 2nd half they fought relentlessly at a very defensive Moyle Rovers back line. We took our points very well and kept them scoreless for this half but we just couldn’t finish it off. Although it was heart-breaking for them, they can hold their heads high and be very proud of getting to this stage of the competition. Thanks to our huge support from the parish and to their mentors for all their hard work.

Focus now is on the hurling side of things. Training continues as per usual on Wednesday evenings in Dualla and on Saturday mornings in Boherlahan. Any queries regarding this year’s Cul Camp please contact Esther Kavanagh.
