The Junior Hurling team had their first outing in the championship against St Patrick’s where they shared the spoils on a scoreline of 0-13 each at Monroe. We wish David Corcoran and Keith Robinson well as they were both injured in that game.

The Golden Goal competition will resume this year on the Clare V Waterford hurling match. Tickets are just €E2 and the winner of the golden moment will collect €E50.

Members who require tickets for the Tipperary V Cork clash please give your names to Michael Dempsey by Thursday, June 14.

The U/12’s run in the Premier Games Football competition came to an end as they were beaten in the replayed County Semi Final by Moyne-Templetuohy. The team on the day: Zach Crotty, Kian Quinn, Billy Murphy, Lee Ryan, Shane Cosgrave, Brian Flavin, John O’Dwyer, Mark Stokes, Jamie Roche, Barry Kehoe, Jason Madigan, Sean Freaney and Billy O’Connor.

The entire panel can hold their heads high and be proud of a football campaign that saw them winning a South Title and bringing a County Semi Final to a replay. They can now look forward to the hurling competition starting shortly.

SCRAP METAL COLLECTION

A scrap metal collection will take place on Friday, June 22, and Saturday, June 23. We appeal to all households and business entities to donate any unwanted scrap iron which they may have on their premises. Please bring any scrap metal as in radiators, gates, wire, boilers, cookers, copper cylinders and copper pipes, machines, engines, cars etc to the KPLAN Community Centre. The community hope to turn your unwanted scrap iron into cash. It is intended that the Scouting movement will be the main beneficiaries and donations will be made to Killurney, Kilcash. This is an ideal opportunity to encourage everyone to clean up their own areas and at the same time raise funds for your community. Any type of metal will be accepted, if anyone requires collection kindly contact Ed at 087 6368260. No gas cylinders or tyres can be donated. We look forward to your co-operation.

LADIES 10K RUN

A big thank you to all of the ladies who ran or walked the Moyne 10K run last Monday. Great credit is due as a number of the participants are not regular runners. Full marks to the Moyne club whose organisational skills were to perfection. A gentle reminder to everyone if possible to return the sponsorship cards this week. Thank you to everyone in the parish who donated.
