Caislean Nua Comhaltas set dancing team carried off an All Ireland title. The Figure Dancing team were placed third. We congratulate the girls Sinead Grant, Rosie McCarra, Treasa McGrath, Shauna Ryan, Ciara Gough, Veronica McNamara, Leah Condon and Catherine Ryan and dancing teacher Cathy McGrath for a wonderful achievement.

MASS ROCK

Mass at the Mass Rock Monatouke on Saturday, August 25. Rosary at 2pm. Mass at 2.30pm (weather permitting).

Under 10’s travelled to Clogheen on August 6 for a hurling blitz. They came second on the day. The under 14 team joined with Fr Sheehy’s for a challenge match versus Ballybacon Grange on Monday, August 13, in Goatenbridge.

NEWCASTLE FOROIGE

Foroige is back on Sunday, August 26, at 6.30 p.m.

COMPUTER TRAINING

Basic IT training for unemployed or over 55s using a free, six-hour training programme that will take place in the IT centre in Newcastle.

YOUTH CLUB

Waterford and South Tipperary and Community Youth Services, WSTCYS, are in the process of setting up a new youth club for children aged eight to 12 years in Newcastle! This is only possible with the support of volunteers. No experience necessary. Free training and support will be given. Contact Annette 0868863055. Volunteers must be over 18.
