Glenahulla National School won the 7 aside Galtee Cup title at Mallow on Wednesday last when they defeated Churchtown by 5-9 to 3-7. Glenahulla team

Kildorrery were also in action in the 9 aside for the Johnny O’Connor Cup. This was a thrilling contest against Ballygown. At full time the sides were level 7 -7 to 6 -10. In extra time Ballygown went on a scoring spree and emerged victorious by 12 -8 to 6 -10. Glanworth Ladies Under 21 football side had a 4-12 to 2-7 win over Passage in Passage on Sunday last. Dromtarriffe will be the Co quarter final finalists. Mitchelstown Under 15 Rugby side had a deserved 58 - 27 win over Youghal in Youghal on Saturday last. THE LATE HUGHIE SHEEHAN

The death occurred on October 22 at St Patrick’s Community Hospital Fermoy of Eugene (Hughie) Sheehan, Clonlough, Mitchelstown. The late Hughie was a well known barber up to his retirement many years ago.
